Why I suggest Barolo Serra
Barolo 'Serra' is an intense expression of Nebbiolo coming from a great Cru of Serralunga, capable of giving the most disparate nuances. We are now in front of this bottle, what can I say I have a form of reverence in talking about this Barolo, we are at the apex of this wine, at the perfect interpretation of the Barolo disciplinary. Standing ovation!
Sommelier:
Full-bodied, muscular and quite dense. It takes a long time to open, then shows off an enormously fresh and mentholated mid-late that, together with a vibrant mineral acidity, gives it an excellent balance. Not overly complex but gastronomic and well accessible at this stage. The nose begins on sweet licorice and delicate cooked fruits, then offering explosive mint, tobacco, powdery tar and ripe purple fruit.
Recommended pairings:
ideal with stewed Piedmontese beef.
Uncork Barolo Serra Giovanni Rosso, decant two hours before serving at a temperature of 18 - 20 ° C, in a large Ballon glass.
