Nebbiolo wine Coste della Sesia DOC Sandrìn Gaggiano. Fine wines of northern Piedmont, the production area of Sandrìn is located in Gattinara and Lozzolo, in an area characterized by land with large blocks of quartz and porphyry. The Nebbiolo grapes are harvested in mid-October followed by vinification and fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 15-22 day long maceration. The refermentation, malolactic, takes place in wooden barrels during the following spring, then the refinement in large second passage French oak tonneaux resumes for 12-18 months.
Characteristics of the wine:
The quality red wine Gaggiano Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia DOC Sandrìn takes on a typically garnet and ruby color in the glass; good impact on the nose, rich in fruity nuances ranging from currant to raspberry also marasca cherry, violet, thyme, graphite, black pepper, mineral effluvia of soil and a fresh menthol finish. In the mouth rather balanced, delicate tannins, stimulating sapidity, the acidity revives the whole and makes it pleasant, good to drink. Young wine that can be kept for about 15 years.

The Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia DOC Gaggiano is accompanied by beef stew with wild chicory and cherry tomato.
It is advisable to uncork it and let it decant for at least two hours before serving it at a temperature of 18-20°C in a large ballon goblet.
