Tenuta Riccardi
The Riccardi family, an ancient wine family already in the 1400s cultivated in the territories of Bobbio. The heir, Ernesto Riccardi, in 1906 realizes the winery by acquiring part of the estate of the Marquis Giorgi in Soriasco, near the medieval village.
The post-war period generates an expansion of commerce, and also of wine. Riccardi seizes the opportunity for the transformation of property tenure, cultivated with cereals, into vineyards, inserting excellent varieties of Moscato, Riesling and Pinot Grigio.
Agricultural production is enhanced following protocols of good agricultural practice. Cultivation looks to the preservation of the territory and enhancement of the winemaking techniques traditionally used since the beginning of the last century. Plants and technologies facilitate the production process, safeguard the product from the point of view of health and hygiene up to the bottle. They bring added value only to quality wines from Oltrepò Pavese.
In 2009 OrodelPo was born, made up of Croatina, Barbera, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Moscato, subsequently expanding to Cabernet, the Senza sulfites added to Riccardino Rosso and Passito di Soriasco with Moscato passito grapes.
