Luzzana Isola dei Nuraghi IGT Rosso is a fine Sardinian red wine produced by Cantina Cherchi, one of the most appreciated wineries in northern Sardinia. This wine is made from a native blend of Cagnulari and Cannonau (50% - 50%), grown on the calcareous-clayey hills of Usini, in the province of Sassari.
The result of artisanal vinification and long maturation in French oak barriques (8-12 months), followed by refinement in the bottle for at least one year, Luzzana Rosso IGT stands out for its elegance, structure and aromatic complexity. It is a still red wine with a ruby color tending towards garnet, with intense aromas of ripe red fruit, plum, vanilla, cinnamon and balsamic hints. On the palate it is dry, soft and well-balanced, with silky tannins, good acidity and a long and enveloping taste-olfactory persistence.
Perfect to pair with grilled red meats, game, roasts and mature cheeses such as Sardinian pecorino, Luzzana is a meditation wine also ideal for important dinners or special occasions.
