La Viarte
La Viarte
The excellent wine comes from the earth. The La Viarte di Prepotto farm, on the eastern hills of Friuli. The DOC area was geologically formed and characterized by marly-sandstone soil, which is well suited to the cultivation of vineyards. 34 hectares of vineyards and wonderful woods along the Judrio Valley, a river bordering Slovenia.
The good exposure to the sun and to the fresh and dry winds from the Balkans is healthy for the plants and for the aromatic supply of the grapes themselves.
In Viarte's corporate philosophy, the conduct of ethics and the culture of the people who preceded them, respect for Mother Nature is pursued. In fact, the Company places rigid posts and takes responsibility for the maintenance of the territory and the cult of quality.
Dr. Davide Mosetti Agronomist of laViarte, follows the path of environmental sustainability in the management of the vineyard, perfecting and refining agronomic techniques. Substitute synthetic chemistry for mechanical interventions promoting the biodiversity and natural fertility of the soils of the vineyard ecosystem. It exploits the principles of good agricultural practice and introduces integrated pest management. All agricultural practices that have added value to the quality of the wines produced in La Viarte, supported and certified by the Council for Research and Experimentation in Agriculture and by the Ministry for Agricultural Food Policies and Forestry.
In the balance between vine and soil and ethics, plants of native vines are planted, including the Schioppettino di Prepotto, the Ribolla. Low yields in clusters, combined with technological research and respecting the Friuli winemaking traditions, the La Viarte winery produces over 100,000 bottles of high-growth wines, divided into 17 labels. Schioppettino di Prepotto, Tazzelenghe, Friulano, Ribolla, Verduzzo, Pignolo, Refosco to other international varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot, Sauvignon, Riesling, Cabernet, Merlot.
For the La Viarte team, wine is a radical respect for the past to look towards the future and grow with enthusiasm.
