Mauro Molino
1973: The oenology school ends in Alba, Mauro Molino begins to give shape to his great dream, a strong passion, the profession of winemaker. He spent five years of professional training at the CIV group of Modena. Later he returned to the Langhe, to his origins, having inherited some vineyards from his father, where the estate resides and builds the cellar at the Annunziata di La Morra. A native of Nebbiolo, Mauro Molino produced his Barolo in 1982, that of the Vigneto Conca.
Falling in love with his profession, is fueled by that feeling of initial pride when he was a youngster, keeping that piece of land that belonged to his ancestors at all costs.
He fell in love more and more with the single varieties, typical of this territory and in particular of Nebbiolo. He began producing three of his most important crus in the municipality of La Morra: Barolo Conca, Barolo Gancia and Barolo Gallinotto. Labels that have allowed us to carry the name around the world.
Today at the Annunziata of La Morra, the company staff sees the entry of the second generation, with Matteo, the first son of Mauro and his sister Martina both professionals in enology. The company produces wine grapes on a surface of about 12 hectares, destined mainly to Nebbiolo from Barolo and partly to the grapes of Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Chardonnay, following a strict production disciplinary that rotates firmly around to the continuous search for quality, philosophy combined with passion can really make the difference. This is demonstrated by the labels of “Il Barolo La Serra,‘ ’Il Barolo Bricco Luciani’ ’; The Barolo Conca; to represent the most prestigious La Morra Cru.
