The territory of Montalcino and Piancornello is the place to live and cultivate the land for Claudio Monaci, owner and winemaker of the winery, and his wife Silvia Bottazzi. In close contact with nature, in the 20 hectares of Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo vineyards surrounded by splendid centuries-old olive trees, working in the first person, working for the environment and respecting practicing organic agriculture.
Piancornello is one of the founders of the organic Brunello di Montalcino district. For this reason, the spouses with a biodynamic system, in turn, pass on the lessons acquired by their great-grandparents, now in their fourth generation considering the daughters of Claudio and Silvia young and future levers for the Piancornello company; which rises in the Sesta area in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, on a plateau on Mount Amiata on the horizon.
