The Regional Convergence and Altitude of 448 s.l.m. Bianco Girlan
The 448 s.l.m. Bianco IGT draws its name from the precise geographical altitude where the historic founding estate of Cantina Girlan is rooted. This label is born from the targeted blend of the three most traditional white grape varieties of the Oltradige region. The pedoclimatic matrix of the vineyards is characterized by mineral-rich soils, originated from the slow deposition of sediments dating back to the glacial era, which impede a distinct freshness and elegant vertical tension to the grapes.
Technical Protocol: Vinification and Sur Lie Aging
Cellar management for the 2025 vintage follows a linear path aimed at preserving the varietal purity and sharpness of the fruit. The harvest is carried out manually using small bins to avoid premature crushing of the clusters during transport. In the cellar, a gentle pressing is followed by natural cold settling of the must. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, where the wine then undergoes an aging period on the fine lees to enrich the texture on the palate without affecting the responsiveness of the pour.
