Why the winemaker recommends Claudio Mariotto Montemirano Croatina Colli Tortonesi DOC 2016
Mariotto also practices croatina and I would say the work was successful. Once again, a confirmation, Claudio doesn't miss a beat. Excellent croatina characterized by an excellent aroma. A simple wine that fills the mouth with its strong alcoholic notes.
Characteristics of the Montemirano Croatina wine by Claudio Mariotto
This Croatina Montemirano dei Colli Tortonesi DOC is a great discovery. Simple grape, not very complex. Technically clean wine, predominantly fruity, with great body and character. Strong acidity contrasted by equally high alcohol makes the wine structured and well balanced. Slightly unripe tannin, slightly bitter aftertaste in the finish.
Recommended pairings for this Piemonte red wine Croatina dei Colli Tortonesi DOC 2016
Very drinkable Croatina, excellent to accompany cheeses and red meats; agnolotti with meat sauce; Lasagna Bolognese; polenta and braised meat; fassona carpaccio; especially with winter dishes: meat soups, boiled meats, stews.
Uncork the Croatina and serve at an average temperature of 16 - 18°C in a Ballon glass.
