Claudio Mariotto
The farm, founded in 1921 and located in the hamlet of Vho, behind Tortona, extends over 54 hectares of vineyards between 250 and 300 meters above sea level. Thanks to the favorable position, close to the Apennines and just 60 km from the sea, the vineyards benefit from an ideal microclimate. The cultivation approach follows principles of sustainable agriculture, without the use of pesticides and with practices that respect the nature of the vine.
Claudio Mariotto, in the 90s, relaunched Timorasso, an ancient native vine of the Tortonesi Hills, known for the production of Piedmontese white wines of great structure and longevity. The Tortonesi Hills, located at the crossroads between Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Liguria, are an area historically suited to viticulture, characterized by panoramic hills where Barbera, Cortese, Timorasso and Dolcetto are mainly grown.
The company continues to enhance the local winemaking tradition, producing quality wines that reflect the unique character of the territory.
