Colli Tortonesi Timorasso DOC Cavallina is a great white wine produced by Claudio Mariotto. This product represents one of the spearheads of the rediscovery of an ancient vine, capable of producing profound wines and of which Mariotto is the spokesperson. Timorasso is a native variety of the Tortona area that the company fully exploits in this deep and complex white wine. The grapes of this vine are vinified in purity and left to express their strength. Promoted!
Characteristics of Claudio Mariotto Timorasso Cavallina wine
Mariotto is rightly known in the lower Monferrato region perhaps more for its fabulous Barbera than for its white wines. Here, he produces three versions of timorasso in which only the terrain and exposure changes and I assure you of the differences between them (incidentally all interesting). This one, the Cavallina, is the most intriguing. 2020 vintage great olfactory intensity and excellent complexity. Acidity still in plain sight. A wine that will mature beautifully.
