Why the winemaker recommends Sella & Mosca Parallelo 41 Alghero Bianco DOC 2022

The base of the wine is the native Sardinian peaty grape variety that Sella e Mosca has restored and cultivated. The name 41 Parallelo comes from the parallel that connects Barcelona and Alghero. Alghero was dominated by the Catalans who probably also imported peat. The Sauvignon added to the peat is perceived on the nose.

Characteristics of the Parallelo 41 Sella & Mosca wine

Parallelo 41 unites Barcelona and Alghero, Torbato and Sauvignon Blanc. An extraordinarily intense and full, soft and balanced wine. Floral and honey scents on the nose, followed by citrus fruits and sweet spices. The acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc explodes on the palate, well balanced by the vanilla tones of the (partial) passage in barrique.
