Why the winemaker recommends Sella & Mosca Vermentino di Sardegna DOC Ambat 2023
From the vineyards in the province of Sassari, not far from Alghero, this centuries-old winery founded by two Piedmontese, in calcareous clay soils, a white wine from Vermentino grapes in purity with exciting sapid notes and fruity nuances, obtained by soft pressing, fermentation in stainless steel controlled temperature, maturation partly in steel and partly in French oak barriques with a short refinement in the bottle.
Characteristics of Ambat di Sella & Mosca wine
Good Vermentino with a yellow color to the aroma and taste, in particular apple pear melon in the background citrus notes of earthy oak vegetable yeast. Vermentino di Sardegna DOC Ambat is well balanced with a high acidity. A crisp, dry mineral with a long citrus finish. Good solo wine too.
Recommended pairings for this white wine Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
I propose with green tortelloni with butter and parmesan; with roasted white meats.
Uncork a Vermentino di Sardegna DOC Ambat di Sella & Mosca and serve at a temperature of 13° - 14°C in a Tulipano glass.
