Why the winemaker recommends Sella & Mosca Alghero Torbato DOC Terre Bianche Cuvée 161
Uve Torbato, an ancient Greek vine brought to Spain by the Phoenicians, introduced in Sardinia with the Catalan denomination is perfectly set over the centuries. The wine ages in steel and barrique. Austere wine is full, it is the maximum expression of the company.
Characteristics of the Terre Bianche Cuvée 161 wine by Sella & Mosca
From a Sardinian native vine with late maturation a great wine. Intense straw yellow with golden reflections, intense aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, white fruit and aromatic herbs. The slight aging in wood gives a little complexity which leads to a fresh, mineral and fruity sip with hints of toasting. Pleasantly bitter finish.
Recommended pairings for this Alghero Torbato DOC white wine
It goes well with a first course of caserecce pasta with tuna sauce, cherry tomatoes, capers and Taggiasca olives and a tuna tartare with avocado and mango
