Why the winemaker recommends Paternoster Vulcanico Falanghina Basilicata IGT 2023
Paternoster is the historic Vulture winery today owned by Tommasi which produces this Falanghina Basilicata IGT 'Vulcanico' 2023 wine in the Rotondo area, practically a Cru.
Characteristics of Falanghina wine:
Volcanic Falanghina IGT Paternoster, Basilicata is a land of red wines in general but this Falanghina is not the exception, far from it, straw yellow color with residues of mineral salts on the bottom, tartrates. Peach nose, floral hints, particularly intense, preserving finesse and discreet harmony. I also find iron references. Pleasant in the mouth with a bitter finish
Recommended pairings with Falanghina wine:
Falanghina Basilicata Vulcanico di Paternoster with stewed white meats and dishes with multiple flavors from every region of Italy; maybe with dried fruit.
Uncork Vulcanico Falanghina Basilicata IGT Paternoster and serve at a temperature of 12 - 14°C in large Tulipano goblets.
Tommasi - Paternoster Cellar:
Being united in a large family has always been the essential element, the engine that drives everything. A story that began in 1902 from a husband, a wife, a family, a company.
