Sommelier saber in wooden box
Professional Sommelier saber made of ASI 316 stainless steel, length 57cm stored in the pine wooden box. Ideal tool to professionally uncork bottles of sparkling wines, even of the highest class, from champagne to sparkling wines in general ... with a bang!
Scenic impact:
The sabrage, or simply "the saber", is a technique more than a beautiful scenographic gimmick, and finds its application in emphasizing the moments of joy shared during the wedding dinner, the New Year's parties, birthdays, degree, even in competitions between professional sommeliers. The art of '' guillotining '' a bottle of sparkling wine or drink that contains a minimum pressure inside CO2, how? ... with the Sabrage saber. Sliding the blade of the saber along the body of the bottle towards the neck with a sharp blow. Applying force enough to break the glass neck cleanly from the bottle collar which, together with the cork, is shot off by the force of the gas contained in the wine.
Hints historians:
Already in the historical period of the early 1800s Napoleon Buonaparte did not constitute use for the imperial guard as a short weapon supplied. The Briquet or denigrated as flintlock, indicated precisely the saber. It ended up serving only as a utility knife to prune the vegetation around the field or the gun batteries and also became of misuse for the sabrage during the Gran Gala parties. Blade has no cutting edge.
