Brancaia
Brancaia
The 1981 Maison Brancaia, in (Castellina in Chianti), is bought by the Widmer family, Brigitte and Bruno, captured by the charm of the landscape and the vineyards. The awareness of being in a territory made of vineyards, olive trees, cypresses is transformed into a strong love for it, to the point to involve in 1998 Barbara Widmer, daughter and oenologist, co-responsible for production, flanked by the oenologist Ferrini. The winery recognizes the great enological potential of the area and tends to look at other production facilities not far from the sea, such as Podere Poppi, in Radda in Chianti; and subsequently in 1998 the creation of Brancaia in Maremma. The desire to share those same exciting qualities of wines and olive oils, captures the attention of an international audience. It is in this context that wines are born capable of interpreting the territory in a contemporary key, solid and elegant wines, in one word: Tuscan. Today Brancaia is one of the most important companies in Tuscany and receives important awards every year. Its wines are successfully distributed all over the world.
