Montedelma

MonteDelma, a high morainic hill between Lake Iseo and the Po Valley between Passirano and Monticelli Brusati in Valenzano, Brescia. One of the historic and renowned towns of Franciacorta. Well exposed slopes at noon, allow the Berardi family to found the first winery in Franciacorta in 1920, which was subsequently transferred to Molinetto di Mazzano in 1980.

Franciacorta is also synonymous with a beautiful land, Franciacorta wine is mentioned among the eleven wines of quality and value in Italy. Recognized as Franciacorta DOCG, the specification designates the use of the term Franciacorta only and indicates the type, method and territory.

The production of quality Franciacorta wines in MonteDelma starts from the Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero espalier vineyard, guyot and spurred cordon pruned and continues at every stage of the production chain according to a strict production protocol. The vineyards are owned by Berardi, from the plant they follow the directives for the adoption of integrated pest management. Energy saving and lower environmental impact due to CO2 emissions into the atmosphere are taken into account in the design and construction phase of the cellar. Therefore, in anticipation of all the processing phases from the fermentation ones, to the refinement and storage of bottled wines, the temperature is an important item so as to make the cellar naturally self-conditioned according to the laws of physics applied to the structure under construction.

The factory is completely underground, a natural intelligent technology positively assists human action. Through modern cold technology it is possible to interfere as little as possible in the various processes, enhancing the original quality of the raw material and the bubbles of Franciacorta afterwards. A great Franciacorta MonteDelma wine is the result of careful production processes, which determine the assemblages in defined percentages according to the cuvée, the quality of the wine in the barrel according to the grape variety and the pedoclimatic component and the aging sur lies, 24 months for Franciacorta Saten and Franciacorta Rosè.
