Why the oenologist recommends Conterno Fantino Barolo DOCG Mosconi Vigna Ped 2020
Extraordinary wine, one of the best I have ever drunk. Not at all acidic, easy and fresh for a red one. Excellent Italian wine, of good length, must not hide in front of good Bordeaux.
Characteristics of the Mosconi Vigna Ped Conterno & Fantino red wine
From the Mosconi terroir at 1,300 feet with 88-year-old vines, with sandy, silt and clay soil, the quality is evident. A nice nose of leather, ash and amaretto. A long and light finish with remarkable tannins and good acidity. The tannins certainly remain in the length of the finish. Pleasant wine with greater complexity over the years.
