Why the winemaker recommends Cantine Russo Taurasi DOCG Spalatrone
The best partnership with Mediterranean cuisine.
Characteristics of Aglianico wine Cantine Russo Taurasi
Spalatrone Taurasi DOCG Aglianico 100% A medium purple red in the glass that gives just a hint of age. The nose is beautiful! I would swear this is a nice Bordeaux if blind tasting based on the nose. Dark, warm fruits with a touch of dried herbs and cedar elements. The palate is different, starting with great acidity that provides a slightly acidic red fruit that turns into green herbal notes. The finish is medium and cherry red. Interesting wine. I prefer the nose to the palate.
Recommended pairings for this Aglianico del Taburno Campania red wine
Spalatrone Taurasi DOCG Russo Taurasi goes well with marinated and spiced red meats; with mixed sauce of pork ribs and horse meat rolls. Very tasty vegetables and stews, such as cardoons with eggs and lamb. Mature cheeses, taralli warmed with wine as an aperitif or conversation.
Russo Taurasi winery
In 1999 Ermanno Russo decided to replant the vine in the place where he had grown, extending the property and building the cellar in the municipality of Taurasi in the Carazita area.
