Why the oenologist recommends Michele Chiarlo Barolo DOCG Cerequio 2015
Tradition is a consolidated innovation, Michele Chiarlo wines are fully considered a traditional reality.
Because it aims to enhance the great terroirs of Langhe and Monferrato using only native vines of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese and Moscato grown exclusively on the hills, an authentic expression of the territory and of the millenary wine culture of these places.
Characteristics of Barolo wine:
Barolo DOCG by Michele Chiarlo a historic company and a great vintage. Balsamic nose typical of the Barolos of La Morra.
Rich in structure, subtle and silky tannins in the mouth, a dense and fine texture, it stands out in the elegance and harmony that distinguish this unique Barolo Cru.
Recommended pairings with Barolo wine:
Barolo DOCG Cerequio 2015 with maltagliati and shelled broad bean purée; red meats; vegetable first courses with lamb meat; cabbage stew and pig's foot; Meat chops better if spicy; Donkey stew, goes well with Neapolitan casatiello.
Uncork Cerequio Barolo DOCG 2015 and decant one hour before serving at a temperature of 18 - 20°C, in a large Ballon goblet.
Winery Chiarlo:
I La Michele Chiarlo is one of the historical founders of the Consorzio Grandi Vini, founders of the Accademia del Barolo, and of being chosen to be part of the Institute of Italian wines of great brands.
