Why the winemaker recommends Castello Bonomi Franciacorta DOCG Rosè Brut Millesimato 2019
The Franciacorta Rosé Millesimato 2019 DOCG by Castello Bonomi comes from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the 24 hectares of company vineyards located in the southernmost area of Franciacorta. The 2019 vintage gave excellent quality grapes, thanks to a regular climate and a generous harvest.
Characteristics of Franciacorta Rosé by Castello Bonomi:
After a brief maceration on the skins, the must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature. This is followed by aging for 7 months in steel and then refermentation in the bottle with aging on the yeasts for at least 36 months.
On the nose there are notes of fresh red fruit, such as currant, raspberry and pomegranate. On the palate the wine is balanced and fragrant, with a pleasant acidic streak that makes it easy to drink. The structural complexity also makes it suitable for aging.
