Cannonau or more rarely Cannonau. Classic autochthonous grape of the Sardinia region. Cultivated above all in the easternmost part of the island for the production of a quality Sardinian red wine. As a single variety, it has extraordinary characteristics such as a very full red color and rather dry flavour. The story also tells of the "Horreum" as a place near the Marceddì pond, where the ancient Romans used to load the foodstuffs destined for Rome.

Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Horreum Rosso 2023 Cantine Melis, Wine rich in fruit, a differentiated aromatic range, outside the box. Dry, robust, full-bodied flavour, good non-biting tannins, dry and very persistent finish.

Excellent red wine from Cannonau Sardegna DOC Horreum 2023 for dishes rich in flavours, with truffles, meat rolls. Orecchiette Pugliesi with lamb sauce, excellent for marinating meat, rabbit cacciatore, duck on the spit.

Uncork and decant Horreum Cannonau DOC di Melis before serving at a temperature of 18°C in a Ballon chalice.
