Why I suggest La Rossa Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG
The Rossa Barbera d'Asti Superiore is certainly one of the archetypal Piedmontese grapes. More in tune with the tastes of the average contemporary consumer: strong, deep juice characterized by an incisive acidity. Barbera d'Asti is the archetypal variant of a great Barbera, lighter than its meatier counterpart from Alba.
The Sommelier: Nice olfactory bouquet with red fruit (strawberry) in the main role. The high percentage of alcohol (14%) is not really perceptible in the smell. As for the taste, the tip of the tongue is stimulated with every sip and immediately highlights the fresh and sour character. No acid / bitter notes to perceive, the acid nuance does not linger too long, therefore well balanced. It would have been perfect if it had been a little less acidic and a little fuller, still a good wine. Further drying in the final and light aftertaste of ker.
Recommended pairings: It goes well with the dishes of the Italian culinary tradition; excellent on first and second courses and for every day dinners.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 18 ° C in a large Ballon glass.
Wine cellar: ... Barbera and Grignolino vineyards nestled on the hills of Monferrato, the heart of UNESCO, the Langhe-Roero production area. An area that is the center of great sustainable quality. ...
