For over two centuries the Cà dei Frati company has been the main actor in the Lugana area close to Lake Garda in the cultivation and transformation of grapes. With the Dal Cero family, the territory acquired its vocation for production of Italian excellence in 85 years and in 1969 its historical name. Family of Veronese winemakers for generation, united by the sense of belonging to the territory, still represent the cornerstone in Venetian oenology.
Years of work in the vineyard and in the cellar combined with the generational succession sees the entry of new forces and ideas, the Cà dei Frati winery began producing the first Lugana label in 1969.
Walking along the rows on foot you can perceive and note the care in the management of the land and the vineyard. With the purchase in Valpolicella of the vineyard called Luxinum which wants to represent the return to the origins, it allows the Dal Cero family to take advantage of the decennial experience also on other grapes. Healthy and ripe grapes that have reached the harvest, of which they are vinified for varietal quality separately, extrapolating the peculiar organoleptic characteristics of the "terroir". The processing and transformation techniques adapt to the raw material. Innovation refined over the years with activities handed down by four generations of winemakers, it allows to obtain excellent and long-lived wines.
The path of the Cà dei Frati wine started for over two centuries remains alive to achieve the important goal: absolute quality. Among the most representative wines of the company we mention the Lugana DOC Brolettino, excellent for longevity of aging and maximum expression of Turbiana; Extraordinary the "Ronchedone" very interesting red wine aged for 14 months in barrique.
