La Raia

On the Piedmontese hills of the Gavi, the La Raia farm. Favored by a unique microclimate, together with the philosophy of biodynamic production, the old wine tradition for the production of red and white wines continues.

About 45Ha of the large company extension are vineyards, in which the Rossi Cairo family in 2003 recovers and enhances with a biodynamic intervention project.

Today we walk along the rows of vines covered with green manure, fertilized with manure and treated with copper and sulfur. The indispensable and substitute elements for the nutrition and the antiparasitic defense of the grapes are shown. The Raia transmutes and thus becomes a true biodiversity oasis also for bees and other pollinating insects.

Especially indigenous grapes for La Raia, such as the award-winning Gavi DOCG: Gavi, Gavi Riserva and Gavi Pisé; and two Piedmont DOC Barbera. The winery harmonizes well and is fully reflected in the transformation project, acquires and certified Demeter since 2007.

Also applauded by the world of wine criticism and positive acclaim from all wine lovers also for the packaging of the bottle labels capable of perfectly combining elegance and character.
