Merlot Friuli DOC Colli Orientali of Vigna Traverso is the most valuable vine with peaks of true excellence. Vigna Traverso has selected clones suited to its terroir and created a very pleasant and inviting Merlot.
Characteristics of Merlot wine:
Produced exclusively from Merlot grapes, the wine has a ruby red color with a ruby rim. Wine of great personality, clear and brilliant, of excellent consistency and alcohol content 15.50% vol. Aged for 11 months, the nose has an excellent vinous, slightly herbaceous bouquet with notes of violet and ripe fruit: raspberry, black cherry... Dry, well-structured flavour, with sufficient dose of tannins, balanced and persistent in the finish.
Recommended pairings with Merlot wine:
Dish to be combined with Merlot DOC Friuli Colli Orientali wine, according to food and wine tasting experiences: lamb sauce, Tortellini with meat sauce, grilled meats and platters of cheeses and seasoned salami.
Uncork Merlot Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2021 Vigna Traverso and serve at a temperature of 18 °C in a large Ballon goblet.
