Characteristics of Frescobaldi Nipozzano Vecchie Viti
Chianti Rufina Vecchie Viti wine of great complexity and good alcohol content 13.50% Vol. the Sangiovese grapes give way to a ruby red wine with a hint of garnet, with a significant percentage of dry extract. Spicy scent in which the fruitiness of bergamot prevails. On the palate a ripe and silky toasted tannin, hints of black cherry, candied fruit, freshly ground coffee powder. Excellent balance of tannins, in the mouth the high alcohol content lasts long into the finish.
Recommended pairings with Chianti Rufina Riserva red wine
Nipozzano Vecchie Viti Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG 2021 Marchesi Frescobaldi goes well with traditional starters from all over the country. Solid dishes such as Puglia-style lasagna, tagliatelle with duck sauce, stuffed tortelli and cappelletti, as well as veal roast beef and mixed pork and lamb roasts, make excellent choices. This wine goes beautifully with risottos with mushrooms and white truffles, as well as vegetable soups with lamb.
Uncork the Vecchie Viti Chianti Rufina Riserva and air for ½ hour before serving at a temperature between 16 - 18°C in a large Ballon-type glass.

Nipozzano Castle is the ancient stronghold defending Florence, one of the most famous and historic properties of the Frescobaldi family. The historical meaning of the name Nipozzano "without a well" testifies to the scarcity of water in the area.
