The oenologist recommends Cava d'Onice Rosso di Montalcino
When you are in Montalcino, never neglect young people. This is the Rosso from the smallest of the Montalcino cellars. But it has what it takes: cherry, plum, leather and balanced tannins. Why run for prestigious alternatives when Cava d'Onice red does the job?
Characteristics of the Montalcino "Sangiovese" wine:
A splendid Red Wine Montalcino of Cava d'Onice, Sangiovese transparent ruby color, olfactory entry of good intensity and complexity of fine quality. Lots of ripe red fruit including cherries and currants, floral intensity: sweet violets and small red roses from damp undergrowth. Finely spiced: licorice roots and sweet mineral black pepper boise tobacco and leather. On the palate it is warm, elegant, fresh with good intensity, perfectly integrated very fine tannins. Balanced and pleasantly persistent red wine from Montalcino.
Recommended pairings with red wine:
