Why the winemaker recommends Ciacci Tenuta di Collosorbo Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2022
A Rosso di Montalcino that has a noble soul and a very interesting price, 12 months in wood and malolactic fermentation make it very enjoyable and much closer to a Montalcino than to a Rosso.
Characteristics of the Rosso di Montalcino wine from Tenuta di Collosorbo
From a '98 vine at 300 meters above sea level, not yet organic at the time. Medium-long maceration in vats at max. 28° with 2 punchings per day. Malolactic then barrique and tonneau for more than a year. Very nice mouth with quite complex nose: animalistic with licorice, red fruits, cloves. Consistent with significant but well integrated alcohol. Delicate and well-smoothed tannin.
Recommended pairings for this red wine Tuscany di Montalcino DOC
Marinade for the wild boar ragout; Florentine steak; sliced Argentine beef; grilled vegetables; fresh pasta with meat sauce, mushrooms and baked potatoes.
Uncork and serve the Rosso di Montalcino wine at a temperature of 16° - 18°C in a Tulipano glass.
Drink consciously.
