Sabrage is the technique of uncorking bottles of champagne with a saber.
The Sabrage saber is a tool specially developed for this purpose with a blunt and pointless blade.
Sliding the saber blade along the body of the bottle towards the neck with a sharp blow. By applying enough force to cleanly break the glass neck from the collar of the bottle which, together with the cork, is shot away by the force of the gas contained in the wine.
