Why I suggest Barolo DOCG 2018
Close to the Annunziata Abbey in La Morra. Elio Altare continues to make gentle and delicate Barolos, in line with what he represents, that is the founder of the Barolo boys. Long periods of maceration are thus avoided. With the use of small French barrels, the maturation period is accelerated. The result is an immediate wine, easier to drink, less demanding. In contrast to Mascarello, Beppe Rinaldi, Sobrero, Bruno Giacosa or Renato Ratti. Together with him, Domenico Clerico, Scavino, Voerzio.
Sommelier:
A nice dark red a little tired with a garnet edge. The nose is decidedly balsamic with a nice minerality and the smell of wine. Elegant and dry mouth. Rough and concrete. Bitter cocoa. Tannins still well present.
Recommended pairings:
Barolo DOCG 2018 Elio Altare with honor on braised.
Uncork Barolo DOCG 2018 Elio Altareand decant one hour before serving at a temperature of 19 ° C, in a large Ballon glass.
Cellar:
... since 1948 Cantina Altare, sized for a family, Elio and his daughter Silvia run the company bringing a production of their wine to about 70,000 bottles a year. Labels spread all over the world to conquer increasingly demanding palates...go to the card
