Nicosia winery
Sicily in five generations, 1898 Francesco Nicosia, the great-grandfather of Etna wine, already known and appreciated in Europe for its "volcanic" and mineral strength. In the 20th century, Carmelo Nicosia expanded and renovated the vineyards and created a modern winery, at the foot of one of the extinct craters that dot Etna. The Monte Gorna estate with its typical lava terraces where the native vines of the volcano grow. He therefore leads the family company to be the protagonist of the rebirth of Sicilian wine
Cantine Nicosia promotes the territory, starting from the prized native vines and the international varieties that are best suited to Sicily.
A path of excellence in the Sicilian wine tradition.
