Why the winemaker recommends Lunae 1.Brut
It is the Charmat method sparkling wine from the Lunae winery in Castelnuovo Magra in Lunigiana. The company is best known for its excellent Vermentino Etichetta Nera. The vineyards are cultivated among the hills on the border between eastern Liguria and Tuscany. They say they are the first brut productions of this winery, it doesn't seem like it, who knows what they will be able to do over time. Charming Ligurian method produced from Malvasia and Greco grapes. To be a fascinating method, I would say that we are faced with a good bubble, with a good boost of acidity which makes this wine good both as an aperitif and as a support for an entire meal. A very pleasant brut, from a now well-known Liguria winery.
Characteristics of the 1.Brut wine from Cantina Lunae
1.Brut, a good Charmat method, blend of Albarola, Greco and Malvasia, this one from the Lunae winery, vinified in steel. At sight it has an intense straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose green apple, pear, white flowers, hints of citrus and mineral hints. In the mouth it is fresh, tasty, quite warm (11.5% vol), balanced and with good persistence.
Recommended pairings for this sparkling wine 1.Brut
Excellent for an aperitif; perfect pairing with bluefin tuna mochame.
Uncork the 1.Brut Lunae sparkling wine and serve at a temperature of 11° - 13°C in a Flûte glass.
