Why the winemaker recommends Vietti Barbera d'Asti DOCG La Crena 2021
Highly selected Barbera from a plot of vineyards on the bricco of Agliano Terme, with unique characteristics, 14.5% vol. which increase by https://oltrevino.it/en/red-wines/piedmont/ 10% after opening. Great Barbera, 2021 vintage, excellent and therefore another Vietti gem. I have had experiences with La Crena Barbera d'Asti DOCG with a vintage of 10 years of bottle aging, I understood that this is a wine that has no rivals. Vietti, among the top 5 wineries in Piedmont. Prosit!
Characteristics of Vietti La Crena 2021 wine
What a Barbera!!! I would say excellent, intense ruby red color with violet reflections, the nose has fruity notes of blackberries, blueberries, plums, spicy and balsamic notes, you can smell the scent from a meter away. On the palate it is full-bodied, structured with great minerality and good acidity, the red fruits return and the persistence is good. Very long-lived wine, which can only improve.
Recommended pairings for this Barbera d'Asti DOCG red wine Piemonte
Barbera d'Asti DOCG wine, excellent accompaniment with lentils with cotechino; cabbage soup with zampino; Abruzzo kebabs; pecorino cheese, celery and salted black olives.

Vietti winery
Each wine is the result of artisanal work, understanding and interpretation of each individual terroir hence the Masseria in Barbaresco, Scarrone and Vigna Vecchia in Barbera d'Alba, La Crena in Barbera d'Asti.
Vietti is thus the place where the intelligence of the hands, applied in the vineyard and in the cellar, meets vision.
