Why I suggest Merlot Friuli Colli Orientali DOC
In the Friuli Colli Orientali, the Merlot is the grape variety is most prized, with peaks of true excellence. Vigna Traverso has selected clones suited to their terroir and created a Merlot that is very pleasant and inviting.
The Sommelier: the Product from the sun Merlot grapes, the wine has a ruby red color with a glint of a ruby. Wine of great personality, bright and limpid, of great consistency and alcohol content 14,00 %vol. Oaked for 11 months, to the nose an excellent, vinous, slightly herbaceous with notes of violets and ripe fruits: raspberry, sour cherry... the palate is dry, well structured, with sufficient dose of tannins, balanced and persistent on the finish.
Food pairings: lamb Sauce, Tortellini and meat sauce, grilled meats and platters of cheese and cured meats.
Uncork and serve at temperature 18 °C. in a large glass Ballon.
Wineries: The company Vigna Traverso is part of the family Molon since 1998, with 22 ha of vineyards in Prepotto, province of Udine. The guide of Giancarlo Traverso, the founder and the deep estimator for the wines of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, and followed by his son Stefano Traverso... Go to the card
