Why the winemaker recommends Zolla Salice Salentino DOP 2022 Vigneti del Salento
The Super terroirs of Puglia, emblematic wine of the Maison Fantini Farnese. Wine power in a glass. Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro as cuvées and that of the Salento vineyards. Nice taste after some time to open up. The nice thing is the earthy balance in all components and the moderate, slightly fresh acidity. With 13% Vol. a relatively light wine at the table and with friends. Conclusion: highly recommended!
Characteristics of Salice Salentino di Zolla wine
Medium purple, almost opaque. Upon uncorking, pleasant earthy/oak/spicy notes prevail over the fruity notes: tobacco, cedar wood, tar, leather, minerals, vanilla, cinnamon, cassis, ripe raspberry, drop of cinchona. Moderately dry, full body, slightly warm alcohol at 13.0%. Medium tannins, low acidity. Flavour: black cherry, bitter blackberry, a touch of spiciness (black pepper).
