Why the winemaker recommends La Carlina Bricco Carlina Barolo
Great success for this Barolo from the highly prized 2021 vintage. Very young, it will gain roundness and integration but it is already very good. My friend cooked me an amazing steak and this was the perfect red wine to go with it.
Characteristics of the Nebbiolo di Barolo wine La Carlina:
Great intensity of red fruits for this complex and perhaps slightly unconventional natural Barolo. Intense garnet color, the bouquet is also very intense, as above, forward red fruit, earthy, herbaceous and woody notes. Full body, high tannins, yet to age. On the palate, great display of juicy red cherry, black cherry, licorice, undergrowth, oak. With time it can only get better, but he can already taste its depth. Long finish, excellent wine.
Suggested pairings with Nebbiolo di Barolo wine:
Pleasant Barolo, suitable for a hearty meal, preferably fillet steak and seared radicchio.
