Why the winemaker recommends Accornero Bricco Battista Barbera del Monferrato DOC Superiore 2019
A very fine glass. After a couple of years the evolutionary process continues. The fruit loses a bit of exuberance on the nose and leaves room for spicy roasted and balsamic notes. The mouth still dominated by acidity is more harmonious. Excellent drink, discreet persistence with a pleasantly fruity aftertaste.
Characteristics of the Barbera Bricco Battista wine from Accornero
Spectacular, a pleasant surprise, Bricco Superiore, a Barbera outside the box. A great Barbera from a family that has been committed to the creation of this and other excellent Barbera and Grignolino for years.
Great structure, low acidity and velvety tannins. Fruity aromas of cherry and red fruits, pink flowers, then balsamic, light undergrowth, toasted. Round and soft in the mouth, perfectly balanced by freshness and smooth tannins.
Recommended pairings for this Barbera del Monferrato DOC Superiore red wine Piemonte
Perfect pairing with cheese gnocchi; boiled; cheeses and cured meats; a Florentine steak.
Uncork a Barbera Bricco Battista and decant before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18°C in a Tulipano glass.
