Why the winemaker recommends Vietti Barbera d'Alba DOC Tre Vigne 2021
The Barbera d'Alba DOC Vietti is powerful and well made, representative of the type and territory. Still young in appearance with its purple reflections it does not have an exaggerated nose, perhaps while waiting for the tertiary years we are satisfied with a nice morello cherry in spirit and some black fruit. In the mouth it gives its best with a nice freshness that balances the 14.5% Vol. Ready and absolutely full-bodied, it also has good persistence. The only flaw at the moment is the olfactory complexity! I recommend having a drink of this in a couple of years. Awaken!
Characteristics of Vietti Tre Vigne 2021 wine
A fine example of Barbera, all we could expect from Vietti was this. A wine with a compact ruby red colour, it offers a nose of good intensity with predominantly fruity notes: cherry, blackberry, raspberry, plum with light hints of wood and some sweet spices. Great freshness in the mouth, with a savory note that is not lacking. On the palate the red fruits are clearly perceptible and the finish is persistent.
Recommended pairings for this Barbera d'Alba DOC red wine Piemonte
Barbera d'Alba DOC wine, excellent pairing with duck breasts or duck livers; Brussels sprouts; pappardelle with sautéed mushrooms.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 16°-18°C in a large Ballon glass.
Vietti winery
Each wine is the result of artisanal work, understanding and interpretation of each individual terroir hence the Masseria in Barbaresco, Scarrone and Vigna Vecchia in Barbera d'Alba, La Crena in Barbera d'Asti.
Vietti is thus the place where the intelligence of the hands, applied in the vineyard and in the cellar, meets vision.
