Why I suggest Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC La Marchesa 2020
Because Manzoni is not only Barolo but in general good wine. Fantastic Barbera with fruity cherry notes in elegant spirit is tasty fresh.
Sommelier:
Monforte d'Alba cellar wine, unfiltered and unclarified. It has a ruby red color with purple tinges. To the very complex nose, it needs to be open and aired at least an hour before serving. The taste is round and velvety in the first few seconds then it turns into a mixture of acidity and sourness ... very interesting, a transformation that makes it very characteristic. Certainly a Barbera to be tasted calmly to understand all its complexity; still evolving tannins.
Suggested pairings:
Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC La Marchesa 2020 Manzone Argentinian beef and grilled polenta; Fresh pasta with legumes. Horse meat chops; Vegetable and lamb soups, Taralli scaldatelli Sardinian pecorino cheese and salted black olives.
Uncork Barbera d’Alba Superiore La Marchesa 2020 Manzone and decant before serving at 16-18 ° C in a Ballon glass.
