Why the winemaker recommends Rovellotti Costa del Salmino Ghemme DOCG Riserva 2017
A great Piedmontese red, 2008 vintage. Everything is already clear on the nose: intense, pugnacious, dense and powerful. In the mouth the attack is sweet, a spiritual experience. Then it grows, grows and grows again, filling the palate with aromas without ever losing balance and elegance. Slightly oxidized, it deserves some time to give its best, repaying the wait with generosity.
Characteristics of Rovellotti Costa del Salmino reserve wine
Truly a Ghemme reserve of great value. Great, it comes after excellent wines and stands out... a super wine in a great year. Elegance balanced with complexity and strength. Ethereal red fruit, dehydrated plum undergrowth berries dried flowers. Great thickness and concentration, mint balsamic citrus fruit. The mouth is sensational, full, deep, mineral and respectful of the nose; splendid herbaceous aftertaste. Wonderful to say the least, a great representative of his territory... thanks Spaturno.
