Why the winemaker recommends Malvirà Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2020
Agile, drinkable Nebbiolo that plays entirely on the finesse and elegance of the nose. Nebbiolo with a hard and wise palate, it is not recommended for people discovering wine.
Characteristics of Malvirà Nebbiolo Piedmont red wine
This Nebbiolo from Malvirà is excellent, a company that makes authenticity its strong point. It is red with excellent liveliness and consistency; typical Nebbiolo nose, primarily withered rose, violet, red fruit jam, notes of virginia tobacco and stick liquorice; good intensity on the palate, with lively but well integrated tannins, good balance and persistence.
Recommended pairings for this Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2020 wine.
For this Nebbiolo I suggest pairing it with risottos and cheeses; the carbonara; turnip greens stew; eggplant parmigiana.
Uncork and decant before serving the Nebbiolo at a temperature of 16 - 18°C in a large glass.
Malvirà Winery
Since 1950, the Damonte family has cultivated Roero, producing wines that embody the essence of this Piedmontese territory. With roots in tradition, the company takes its name from the ancient Malvirà building and has evolved, keeping alive the dedication to quality and respect for the land. Today, the third generation continues to enhance native vines such as Arneis, Roero and Nebbiolo, creating refined wines that express the uniqueness of Roero.
