Terroir and Heritage of Barolo Enrico VI®
The Barolo Enrico VI® DOCG embodies the most austere winemaking expression from Cordero di Montezemolo. This single-style allocation originates from a 2-hectare *monopole* vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, inside the legendary Villero cru. Positioned at 300 meters above sea level with a South-West exposure, the plot features old vines aged over fifty years. The name was established by Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo to celebrate the birth of his sesto son, Enrico, following the purchase of the land in 1965. This label remains the winery's unique release crafted outside the historical Annunziata headquarters in La Morra.
Agronomic Features of Castiglione Falletto
The core framework of this wine is shaped by a dense pedoclimatic matrix. The soils are characterized by a high concentration of compact clays and iron minerals, which differentiate the sub-zone from the typical sandy marls found in La Morra. The cool microclimate encourages a gradual ripening of the Nebbiolo clusters. The technical workflow leverages the old vines to guarantee a restricted yield rich in dry extracts, providing the final wine with outstanding structural mass and a sharp mineral signature.
Sensory profile of Barolo red wine from Piedmont
The synergy between iron-rich soils and disciplined cellar operations shapes a clean organoleptic identity with extensive structural depth.
- Appellation, Blend and ABV: 100% Nebbiolo / Barolo DOCG / 14.50% ABV.

- Aromatic Bouquet: Broad and forward nose, showcasing dominant notes of licorice, cherry jam, earthy balsamic undertones, mint, and dark tobacco.

Food Pairings and Serving Recommendations
