Why the winemaker recommends Barolo DOCG 2021
Great success from the highly prized 2021 vintage for this very young Barolo, it will gain in roundness and integration but it is already good. My friend cooked me an amazing steak and this was the perfect red wine to go with it.
Characteristics of the Nebbiolo di Barolo wine
Bricco Castello Barolo La Carlina Ruby color of low intensity, crown already evolved, brilliant and clear. Complex nose of ripe fruit, floral, spicy and slightly woody. Menthol notes, raspberries, dried flowers and aromatic herbs. Medium power attack, nice roundness. Lively mid-palate with still coarse tannins. Round, slightly bitter finish of medium length with vegetable aromas, great aging potential.
Suggested pairings with Nebbiolo di Barolo
Barolo suitable for a hearty meal, better with grilled tenderloin and seared radicchio.
