Why the winemaker recommends Mauro Molino Gallinotto® Barolo DOCG 2019
Berri is an area west of La Morra 350m above sea level. Vines of 40 and 20 years contribute to this wine. Finesse and elegance in the sip. Spectacular!! (there's no point in getting lost in cataloging a wine like this).
Characteristics of Mauro Molino Barolo Gallinotto wine
From vineyards in the upper part of La Morra, Berri area, this Barolo represents a mix between tradition and innovation, large barrel and barrique. Garnet color on the nose, immediately earthy, animal, dried leaves ready to open up into precise hints of fruit jam, dried fruit, then rose floral and finally fountain pen cartridge ink. In the mouth it has strength and structure and a biting but fascinating tannin, fresh and approachable. A Barolo that truly satisfies.
Recommended pairings with Barolo DOCG red wine
Barolo 2019 by Mauro Molino, perfect with fillet; vegetable first courses, lamb meat; cabbage and pig's foot stew. Traditional Piedmontese dishes. Meat chops are better if spicy; goes well with the fillet and grilled Treviso red radicchio.
Uncork the Piemonte di Mauro Molino Barolo Gallinotto® 2019 red wine and decant two hours before serving at a temperature of 18 - 20°C, in a large Ballon glass.
Mauro Molino winery
It began producing three of its most important Crus in the municipality of La Morra: Barolo Conca, Barolo Gancia and Barolo Gallinotto. Labels that have allowed the name to be carried around the world.
