Why The oenologist recommends Stroblhof Pinot Nero Pigeno Alto Adige DOC 2021
During a classic Burgundy tasting with friends, we discovered a second "intruder" wine (unknown to the others). Despite this, I secretly enjoyed the surprise effect. The color of the wine suggested that it was not a Burgundy Pinot Noir, but the nose revealed an intense aroma of red fruit and spices, with a slightly binding note. In the mouth, the wine was balanced with a pleasant acidity, although not particularly complex. I love wine and the South Tyrol region, where long walks in the mountains make me feel at home. Knowing when to stop or when to continue is like touching the sky with a finger.
Characteristics of the Pinot Noir Pigeno wine:
The Sommelier described the excellent wine, Pinot Noir Riserva dell'Alto Adige Stroblhof with a soft ruby red colour, a fruity aroma of black cherry and a note of dried fruit, spices and mountain herbs. The drink is dynamic and clean, with young but persistent tannins and a pleasant acidity.
Suggested pairings with Pinot Nerro Pigeno wine:
It is recommended to combine the wine with traditional Italian dishes such as meat sauces, ravioli with meat sauce, Milanese risottos and grilled or roasted white meats.
He suggests uncorking and decanting the Pinot Nero Pigeno Alto Adige DOC Stroblhof before serving it at a temperature of 14-16°C, in a medium Ballon goblet.
