The winemaker recommends Stroblhof Pinot Nero Riserva Alto Adige DOC
Having to explain the Pinot Noir wine I would say: beautiful old brick color, it struck me even if I usually don't pay much attention to color. Beautiful balance between fruit and alcohol on the nose and in the mouth. I personally prefer other less paradigmatic and more particular pinot noirs, but this is truly the older brother of pinot noir.
Characteristics of the Pinot Noir wine:
Stroblhof Pinot Noir Riserva wine is an elegant wine with a light and bright garnet colour. The nose is mineral and sanguine with small red fruits in evidence and a slight spiciness to pleasantly support the great minerality. In the mouth it is generous, with notes of cinchona bark and excellent tannins, persistent and sapid.
Suggested pairings with Pinot Nerro wine:
It is perfect to combine with game dishes and polenta or a braised saddle with mushrooms.
Before serving, it is recommended to uncork and decant the Stroblhof Pinot Noir Riserva at a temperature of 14-16°C, using a medium Ballon goblet.
