Why the winemaker recommends Elvio Cogno Vigna Elena Ravera Barolo DOCG Riserva 2017
A high quality Barolo. You know what you drink without surprises. Drank 17 years after the harvest: very interesting tasting, the result of a particularly lucky vintage and a vineyard that knows how to express itself on very important notes. To secretly accumulate in the cellar and try again from year to year.
Characteristics of the Barolo Vigna Elena wine by Elvio Cogno
Barolo Vigna Elena from Nebbiolo ages for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The nose opens with character, certainly floral, with a lot of fruit where small red fruits, spices and light balsamic references emerge. On the palate it is structured with thick and present tannin and excellent acidity. Impressive sip finish in terms of length and drinkability. Masterpiece
