I would define it as an educational Barolo, intended for a wider range of audiences, who wish to initially approach Barolo with caution, and then move on to wines with greater structure.
Characteristics of Elvio Cogno Barolo Cascina Nuova wine
A very rich aromatic bouquet with notes of roses, violets, delicate spices and aromatic herbs. It is complemented by a concentrated, powerful and at the same time elegant fruity taste with woody vanilla nuances. Long tannic aftertaste and excellent balance of acidity.
